Start with the supplier’s bill
Take a photo or upload the file. Kept reads the supplier, date, amount and VAT. It suggests how to record it and saves the file with the entry, so every entry leads back to the file it came from. A person checks the suggestion and confirms it.

Nothing is recorded by itself
A person chooses the type of expense and how VAT applies. They confirm the entry before anything goes into your books.

The same bill cannot be recorded twice
Every entry is tied to the saved file it came from. Once a document has been recorded, it cannot be recorded again.
A corrected scan stays linked
When you upload a corrected scan, Kept links it to the document it replaces. It does not overwrite the original.
Services bought from abroad, handled clearly
When you choose the reverse charge for a service bought from abroad (you account for the VAT yourself instead of the supplier), Kept records both sides of the VAT entry for you.
